Ever feel like you’re just guessing what works in a dating ad? I used to think I had a “good” Dating Ad Campaign, but results were all over the place. One day it clicks, next day nothing. Made me wonder if I was missing something obvious.

The biggest issue for me was not knowing what exactly to test. I’d change headlines, images, and targeting all at once, then wonder why I couldn’t figure out what actually worked. It felt like throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks. Also, I used to quit tests too early when I didn’t see instant results.

What helped me was slowing things down and testing one thing at a time. I started with just headlines first. Same audience, same image, just different wording. That alone gave me clearer insights than all my previous “big changes.” Then I moved to creatives, then CTA. Small steps, but way more clarity.

I also came across this guide on Dating Ad Campaign strategies, and it made me rethink how I approach testing. Instead of chasing quick wins, I focused more on consistency and patterns. Another thing I noticed was that letting ads run longer (even if they start slow) often gives better data.

Now I treat split testing like a process, not a quick fix. Fewer variables, more patience, and actually tracking results properly. It’s not perfect, but at least I know why something works or fails.

Curious how others are doing it. Do you test creatives first or audience?
