IenniParticipantFunny you ask — I was reading this page on HostZealot about their Tallinn-based dedicated servers, and it actually looks like a smart move if you’re targeting the Baltics or nearby regions. Their infrastructure in Estonia seems solid, with good routing and decent latency across Eastern and Northern Europe.

IenniParticipantThat’s a really interesting question. From what I’ve seen, regional routing indeed plays a significant role in maintaining low latency, especially for real-time applications. The difference between hosting in a nearby region with optimized routing versus locally can be surprisingly small, provided the data centers have strong peering agreements. In my case, I opted for a location that offered both good regional connectivity and solid uptime guarantees, and it made a noticeable difference.
